RIP BLUES LEGEND JOHN HAMMOND - NOV 13, 1942 TO FEB 28, 2026 (83)
WE'VE LOST A GENTLE-MAN AND A PASSIONATE INFLUENTIAL AMERICAN TRADITIONAL BLUES ICON.
During the mid 1960's both Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton share John Hammond Band lineup for a short run in Greenwich Village. John has many encore performance on Chan's stage over the years armed with just a rack harmonica, an acoustic and National Reso-Phonic Guitar...Truly a One Man Dynamo! One of our fondest memories was celebrate the songs of Tom Waits with his All-Stars WICKED GRIN BAND in 2001. It was magical...Poetry in motion.
He will be sadly missed!
